ANALYSIS

Regardless of form or function, data represents the potential to garner insights and understanding. In application analysis can be a rigid and time-consuming undertaking- and to arrive at a polished result may require a strong subject-matter expertise. We take pride in our ability to produce clear, concise and meaningful summaries which drive informed decisions.

INTELLIGENCE

We make the best choices we can based on our available information at any given time. Certainty means taking responsibility for the information we have available to ensure that every relevant consideration is accounted for. One of the biggest advantages to making a good decision is the elimination of risks that would arise from making a poor decision.

REPORTING

The generation and provision of meaningful summaries is the simplest and most effective means of making data useful. From experience, research and feedback we know that more reporting is not always better- rather, every leader, manager and worker has unique areas of interest. Done well, reporting is refreshing- not noisy or burdensome.

TRANSFORMATION

For any number of reasons, the most common data project sees data in one format needing to conform to another format. Every transformation initiative is situational- and prepackaged solutions often lack in flexibility and intelligence. We take things a few steps further and build sophisticated solutions for data with your specific needs in mind.

AUTOMATION

Most processes are implemented to be functional- not ideal. After some time a process becomes accepted as canon- “It’s the way we’ve always done it.” Automation not only streamlines processes which have room for improvement, but it returns time to employees that were once encumbered by redundancy. Reliable, immediate effects are the result of a successful automation.

PERPETUATION

Without upkeep, most data is perishable. When data ages beyond accuracy or use two major risks are presented. First, any dependent systems or people are jammed and second, there comes a scramble to return to good form. Heading off these issues with proactive efforts means having the data that you need when you need it without any unwelcome surprises.

STANDARDIZATION

We rarely get to choose our starting point when it comes to data- there is always a current state, future state and ideal state. When a dataset fails to be consistent within itself, businesses assume a liability. We’re happy to help define, develop and deploy standardization measures so that data can enrich downstream dependencies.

VALIDATION

Of all the blunders to do with data handling, letting unclean data into your systems may be the most easily avoided. Good validation means that not only has incoming data’s content been carefully considered- but that the interface to that validation is not cumbersome or frustrating to the data’s supplier. Having the ability to trust new data as it comes is nothing short of necessary.

CATEGORIZATION

We think in terms of discernible groupings- and so naturally categorization becomes necessary to keep things neatly organized. Often categorization is attempted by hand- which quickly becomes subjective and costly when faced with a large or complex dataset. Being able to recognize a thing as “this” or “that” instantaneously is to the benefit of everyone involved.

RECONCILIATION

It’s often necessary to assimilate foreign data into your systems- whether acquired from a public source, purchased or received from a partner. Textual data from different sources can be difficult to reconcile- if things aren’t an exact match, what’s next? One of our biggest strengths is creating solutions that allow textual data from different sources to intermingle.

TRAINING

Even with the best tools and processes, nothing happens without people. In addition to the training we provide for all of our purpose-built solutions, we offer proactive education services on a number of pragmatic topics. More confident and knowledgeable people mean better words, thoughts, decisions and actions. Let us share our lessons with you.

VISUALIZATION

About one third of our brains are devoted to visual processing. In theory and often in application, a dashboard, infographic or other visual reference has a better chance of being understood and remembered. Visualization offers a unique advantage in the ability to effectove;y communicate a powerful message- internally, externally or both.
